For many Adobe Photoshop users who use the lasso tool to crop out parts of images that matter to them, this update is golden!

Yes, very golden.

Adobe updates Photoshop CC with a lot of interesting new features. The highlight feature for me in this update is as Adobe puts it, the Object Selection tool. What does the Object Selection tool do?

This new tool lets you drag a box around an object, and Photoshop will automatically create a selection around the borders of the object it thinks you’re highlighting. That could be as simple as a box or a complicated selection of people’s portraits!

A lot of Photoshop users like me will agree that it takes a ton of time to get a clean trace of objects or people in a picture. This new feature is such a great help.

Other Photoshop Updates

Photoshop has new panels dedicated to gradients, patterns, shapes and styles containing new presets. Not just new, modern too. You will agree that the presets are getting a bit archaic. I can’t remember the last time I used them. However, if you are a fan of the old, they can be accessed by enabling Legacy Presets.

The Properties Panel also has an improved look. There you can discover more controls for Document, Pixel Layer, and Type Layer properties without navigating through multiple panels and dialogs.

This new update also allows you to convert smart objects into its component layers instead of opening into a new tab before making adjustments.

Adobe Photoshop CC 2020 seems to be a great update. Who else is getting it anytime soon?
